And here is something Kristin can’t resist sharing about Melanie. When Melanie was little and asked for something yummy but unhealthy, or tried to get an extra dessert serving, our Mom would say, “No, that is bad for you.”  Melanie would always respond with the cutest chipmunk grin, “but it is good to me.”

Melanie’s phrase has had staying power for our family lingo and is applied in various situations. You might say it is bad for you, but from my perspective I am more interested in the fact that it works for me!
