Strawberry Trife from Fall Breeze 2

Having a great 4th of July weekend, and hope everyone else is too!  We have a series of parties this weekend where the hostess has asked us to bring a side or dessert to share. Here is one of the dishes I am bringing. An easy festive looking Strawberry Trifle.

Strawberries – 1.5 lb of strawberries (24 oz). In my case this was 36 berries.

Vanilla Pudding – 2 small pkgs if making from dry

Pound cake- 1.5 loaves (you could use angel food or regular cake)

Cool Whip

Blueberries – one small package

Make the Vanilla Pudding according to package directions.

Cut the pound cake into one inch cubes.

Place 2 TBL of Pudding on bottom of Trifle dish and spread around. Start making layers by placing first a layer of cake cubes, then pour and spread half the pudding over the cake. Cut up strawberries and create a layer of strawberries. Place cut strawberries around the edge to show through the dish. Spread half of coolwhip in a layer. Repeat layers: place rest of pound cake then rest of pudding and then rest of strawberries then rest of coolwhip.

Garnish top with strawberries and blueberries. I placed some strawberries in the middle and filled in rest of top with the blueberries.

Too easy. Plan to make this twice this weekend.
